17 weeks!

Yesterday marks 17 weeks! Things are certainly moving along. Monday we had a Dr's apt and sonogram. Doc seemed pleased with everyones progression and we got some great new shots of the kids! Baby A ensured us again that he/she is the laid back, chill baby. While Baby B showed off his/her krump dancing skills! Both are growing so much and are so stinkin' cute. Crazy how you can love someone so much you've never met face to face!

Sibling love -- cuddling and spooning all ready :)

In other pregnancy related news: Wren's reflux has really started bothering her. Hoping the 'script Doc wrote for her will give her some relief. We've also started a nightly routine rubbing cocoa butter lotion on her belly. Not because she is vein and is fearful of stretch marks, more for relief of itching due to her ever growing stomach! And we figure on nights when I am home, it's like a way for me to bond with them. Wren has also taken to the pool and attends water aerobics classes that she really enjoys.

We are glad it is summer with all the fresh fruits and veggies that are available. It seems that is all Wren wants to each -- she is constantly craving fruit. So, we visit our farmers market every weekend and gather up the grown-on-the-spot blackberries, raspberries, peaches, plums, nectarines, etc. They have a pick your own option that we normally LOVE but the heat has been sooooooooooo intense here the past 2 weeks, we passed on pick your own. Our own backyard garden is doing great! Here is a pic of our harvest from Sunday afternoon.

Hope you are all doing well and enjoying your summer!

16 week Baby Bump

16 weeks and cruising along.  I have gained 4.5-5 pounds so far although my belly looks more like 20 pounds!!  We go for our next ultrasound this Monday so we will be posting new pics of the babies.
Starting this week we will be going to the doctor every 2 weeks for monitoring and will get an ultrasound every other visit.

I also ordered the Prenatal Cradle Plus today:
http://www.mommyandbabyessentials.com/pregnancy-maternity-maternity-supports-c-69_1/prenatal-cradle-plus-p-182

I have read many reviews from moms of multiples and hope that it will provide some needed support and lessen the back strain I am already feeling. It is supposed to help with the strain of carrying multiples and all of the following issues: Vulvar Varicosities (also used post sclerotherapy), Lympedema, Perineal edema, Incontinence, External prolapsed bladder or uterus, Back pain, Adominal straining, Painful hip separation, Painful pubic symphysis, Lordosis and Sciatica.

I also plan to go to the Chiropractor this week for an adjustment.

A special congrats to Our Quest for a Little Monkey for the birth of their new little boy!

I will leave you with a few pictures of us....

BUMP PICS and 14 WEEK CELEBRATION

"THE BUMP" AT 11 WEEKS

"THE BUMP" AT 13 WEEKS

Well, today is 14 weeks - HOORAY!!!
  • So far I have gained 2 pounds :)
  • I started a water aerobics class last week - it feels great to be weightless - the class is low impact and the water is relaxing! I am so jealous of all of the moms who are able to have a water birth - that would have been my first choice with a singleton!
  • Our friends/families have scheduled us two baby showers for this Fall - one in our town on Oct 22nd and another in my hometown on Oct 29th.
  • We also ordered our CRIBS today!  Very excited!  They should be here by July 19th.... then it will be up to Finch to put them together.  I am quite a handy lipstick lesbian but I must say I have NO patience for putting things together. LOL.
  • I also went on a little shopping spree at Motherhood Maternity yesterday for some new dresses, a set of nursing pj's with a pretty robe, and a jacket I can wear for Fall and Winter to work when I am huge :)
  • We have been working on  2 registries and I must say I am in love with the registries at http://www.amazon.com/ and   www.MyRegistry.com where you can combine all of your registries into ONE and can pick items from any store to put on it - LOVE it!
  • We traveled to my hometown last Thurs-Sat to visit my family and had a great time - we love the small town atmosphere, picnicking in the park, and went to a country music show and watched my hometown fireworks on Friday night.
Life is GOOD!
